I was just browsing a baby website, and for 23 weeks (where I'm at now), it said: Your baby is about 11½ inches long and weighs 1 pound, or about the length and weight of a Harry Potter book.
Had to laugh about the pregnancy and the time waiting to hear back from NYC. I knew someone who got the manuscript of my first book onto an editor's desk at a big house right before I found out I was expecting baby #2, and got the manuscript back with a rejection letter the day before she was born! No fun but a few months later I went to town on revisions, submitted it to a much smaller publisher, and heard (another eight months later) that they wanted it. Whatever works! K.
