Drive-by Readings

How many of you have broken the rules of safe driving a few times? Talking on your cell phone, eating or drinking, texting, reading email, or reading a novel??*

Can you see this guy? He is the most interesting person I have ever seen in southern Maryland. First, I noticed his wild, crazy hairstyle. So very Einstein-in-a-Windtunnel. Then I saw that he was reading a novel. See that? Propped up on the steering wheel? Awesome. And scary. (Sorry about the photo quality. I took it with my phone after I finally caught up to him.)

He also had a nice assortment of furry animal-print hats in the back window. I would love to know who he is and what's on his reading list.

* I have, I must admit, done all of these things. And now I must add taking a picture with my cell phone to the list. I promise to be more careful in the future...

Are you 100% sure he's a he?

I think I'm guilty of all except the reading a novel one!

Definitely a he. :-)

Eek! Looks dangerous! I have definitely read at stop lights and in very slowly inching traffic. It's hard to really concentrate though :=)

Val, that was truly nightmarish. I couldn't even finish scrolling down. It made me sick.

Is it just me, or were there a lot of scratches and dents on that car?

I always read in the car line at school as we inch along and I am *so* sure I'm going to ram right into one of those McCain/Palin Land Rovers one of these days. Ooops!

That.is.hilarious. One that he is not even trying to hide that he is reading and driving. Two that you snapped a pic. Ok 3 the furry hats in the window!
I just can't be distracted when I drive, it's hard for me to just change the radio station!

I had to warn you about that. I’m sorry for making you sick but those pictures show the price of carelessness on road. Be careful = responsible for you and for people around.
