England

I'll write more later, but Jim, Elizabeth, and I finally arrived a few nights ago, via Germany. We took a military hop--it took us three days of travel to get here, but the flights were free. :) Now we're staying with a friend of mine and getting to know the region she lives in. Taking lots of pictures... so when we get back to Maryland, whenever that may be, I'll post everything and show you what we did!

Ooh, much jealousy is shooting from me right now. Can you feel it? All the way over there? Hope you're having a great time! And I always imagine free military flights entail huddling in the cargo hold of some big WWII-era plane, maybe painted with camo? And then they toss you out with a parachute sort of over your destination? No? (A teeny little parachute for Elizabeth?) In a cartoon, that's how it would happen. I can imagine Maggie Simpson floating down in a little parachute. . . Ugh. I think I've been in my writing room too long!
